Sixty people were arrested in Georgia as a result of a nationwide human trafficking sting where four juveniles in Georgia were recovered.
Nationwide, 84 minors were recovered from the efforts of law enforcement as part of Operation Cross Country XI. The operation took place between Oct. 12th through Oct. 15th.
According to Fox 5 Atlanta, three juveniles were recovered in Atlanta, and one in Augusta. Four traffickers and three travelers had intent to engage in sex with the minors. Those traffickers were arrested in Atlanta, according to the FBI.
The FBI set up their investigations in hotels, casinos, and truck stops across the nation. In addition, they investigated social media accounts along with internet website to catch the traffickers.
The recovered minors were placed into state custody and were evaluated for medical and mental health services.
The average age of the victims was 15 years old and the youngest victim was 3 months old.
